La memoria histórica del Gran Cardenal en la gestión actual del Colegio de Santa Cruz de Valladolid y del Hospital de Santa Cruz de Toledo

Abstract

[spa] Don Pedro González de Mendoza, uno de los personajes más influyentes en el inicio de la Edad Moderna en España, fue el promotor artístico que marcó un hito en los inicios del arte renacentista. Promovió, entre otros, la construcción de dos edificios: el Colegio de Santa Cruz de Valladolid y el Hospital de Santa Cruz de Toledo, que reflejan su personalidad humanista desde el punto de vista de la promoción. Estas construcciones han sido objeto de un estudio diagnóstico desde el punto de vista de la gestión patrimonial de ambos, a fin de reflexionar sobre la conservación de la memoria histórica de su promotor.

[eng] Don Pedro Gonzalez de Mendoza, one of the most influential persons at the beginning of the Modern Age in Spain, was the artistic promoter who marked a milestone in the early Renaissance Art. He promoted, among other, the construction of various buildings: The College of Santa Cruz de Valladolid and the Hospital of Santa Cruz de Toledo, which shows his humanistic personality from the point of view of the promotion. These constructions have been the subject of a diagnostic study from the point of view of the patrimonial management of both, to reflect on the conservation of the historical memory of its promoter.
