El gravat en els llibres mallorquins del segle XVI. La Impremta Cansoles (1540-c. 1601)

[cat] Resum A Mallorca hem d'esperar a l'impressor Hernando Cansoles i Villarroel, qui va instal·lar la segona impremta de la illa, en funcionament des de 1640 fins aproximadament 1601, per a trobar edicions ricament ornamentadas amb gravats. En aquesta època l'art del gravat estava supeditat a les necessitats de la impremta i normalment formava part de l'utillatge del taller. D'aquesta manera, els gravats habitualment s'intercanviaven, copiaven o venien entre els diferents establiments d'aquest tipus. Així mateix era molt habitual la mobilitat dels propis impressors. És per això que ens trobam els mateixos gravats o molt similars en edicions de llocs molt distants. De fet Cansoles, i d'això tracta precisamanet aquest escrit, per a il·lustrar la majoria de les seves publicacions va reutilitzar o copiar matrius xilográficas procedents de la Península. [eng] Abstract In Mallorca, it was not until the printer Hernando Cansoles i Villarroel set up a second printing workshop on the island, which was operative from 1640 to about 1601, that editions richly decorated with engravings could be found. During this period, engraving, as an art, was conditional on the needs of the printing workshop, and engraving utensils normally formed part of the workshop's equipment. Thus engravings were often exchanged, copied or sold by one workshop to another. The printers themselves often moved around. For this reason, the same or very similar engravings can be found in editions printed in very distant places. Indeed, Cansoles, and this is the subject of this paper, re-used or copied woodblocks from the mainland to illustrate many of his editions.
