Prevención de la diabetes mellitus gestacional mediante la actividad física y dieta saludable

[spa] Introducción. La diabetes mellitus gestacional (DMG) es la intolerancia a los hidratos de carbono que comienza en el primer reconocimiento médico y dura hasta el final del embarazo. Los niveles de glucosa en sangre son elevados, y es debido a que durante el embarazo existe una mayor resistencia a la insulina. Durante el embarazo puede provocar complicaciones graves para la madre como aborto espontáneo, hipertensión, parto por cesárea o complicaciones para el futuro bebé como preeclampsia o diabetes mellitus de tipo2. Uno de los factores de riesgo de diabetes mellitus gestacional es tener sobrepeso IMC 25-30kg/m2 u obesidad >30kg/m2. La actividad física, como una dieta saludable, son efectivos a la hora de disminuir el IMC de las personas y mejorar el control metabólico. Objetivo. El objetivo de nuestro estudio es saber si una dieta saludable y actividad física moderada disminuye la incidencia de diabetes mellitus gestacional. Estrategias de búsqueda bibliográfica. La búsqueda bibliográfica se ha llevado a cabo en 2 bases de datos, PUBMED y COCHRANE, utilizando 4 palabras clave: physical activity, gestational diabetes, diet therapy, y mediterranean diet usando el booleano AND. Resultados de la búsqueda bibliográfica. Utilizando las diferentes palabras claves en PUBMED y COCHRANE se han encontrado 141 artículos, de los cuales se han seleccionado 24. Conclusión. La actividad física y una dieta saludable disminuye el peso gestacional, mejoran los niveles de glucosa en sangre y disminuye la incidencia de DMG, pero los datos no son lo suficiente contundentes. Por lo que se requiere más estudios.
