Les Lleis de Carles III a Mallorca: ideologia i llengua en l'acció funcionarial

[cat] Aquest article estudia els efectes que les lleis de Carles III tingueren en la fisonomia institucional mallorquina, en la seva cultura i llengua catalanes. Alhora, examina el pes dels funcionaris, ambaixadors de la voluntat reial, en el reeiximent del projecte borbònic; el paper que aquests empleats públics, especialment el fiscal, exerciren en l'execució de les lleis borbòniques, i l'afectació sobre la llengua catalana, el seu ús i la seva consideració, a la Mallorca d'aquest període; així com la resposta, entre la desídia, la incúria i la resistència, que des de les institucions municipals i locals es donà a l'afany centralitzador. La pretensió última és aportar a la historiografia lingüística material de base inèdit que contribueixi a la revisió del paper de les nostres institucions locals al llarg d'aquest període tan intens per a la biografia catalana. [eng] This article studies the effects of the laws of Charles III on the institutional physiognomy of Majorca, and on its Catalan culture and language. At the same time, it examines the importance of civil servants, ambassadors of the royal will, to the success of the Bourbon king's plans: the role that these public employees, particularly in the sphere of taxes, played in the execution of the Bourbon laws, and the effects upon the Catalan language, its use and the regard in which it was held in the Majorca of the period, and also the response of municipal and local institutions to these centralising endeavours, ranging from apathy to neglect and resistance. The ultimate goal is to contribute to the historiography of language using previously unlooked-at material that helps us re-examine the role of our local institutions over the course of this period, so intense in terms of the history of the Catalan language.
