[cat] En els últims anys, el consum i la producció d’aliments ecològics ha experimentat una tendència de creixament. La població ha pres consciència de la importància de portar uns hàbits de vida saludables i de preservar l’entorn que ens envolta. D’aquesta manera, les empreses han observat un nou grup de consumidors al mercat i, estan disposades a oferir productes per satisfer les seves necessitats. Per aconseguir-ho hauran de reorientar la seva política de màrqueting i cumplir amb la normativa específica. L'evolució del mercat espanyol és positiva i presenta expectatives futures de creixement. Les Illes Balears, juntament amb Andalusia, s'han convertit en les Comunitats Autònomes essencials pel desenvolupament d'aquest sector.

[eng] In the last years, the consumption and the production of ecological foods has experienced a tendency of growth. The population has become aware of the importance of bringing healthy living habits and preserving the environment that surrounds us. In this way, companies have observed a new group of consumers in the market and, they are willing to offer products to meet their needs. To achieve this they will have to reorient their marketing policy and comply with the specific regulations. The evolution of the Spanish market is positive and presents future growth expectations. The Balearic Islands, together with Andalusia, have become the Autonomous Communities essential for the development of this sector.
