Incentivos y resultados: la relación entre retribución y rendimiento

[spa] En este documento se analizan los efectos de la estructura salarial, entendida como la proporción entre remuneración fija y variable, sobre la productividad de los agentes. En concreto, el trabajo se interesa en discernir, si la causa de la fijación de la retribución variable incluida en los contratos se debe a razones de incentivos relacionados con los problemas de información asimétrica que aparecen en la relación principalagente y el comportamiento de los individuos que implicados en la relación contractual. Se analizará esta relación en dos contextos diferentes, cada uno de los cuales aporta datos concretos. En un primer contexto se comentará la relación entre salarios e incentivos en experimentos; mientras que en un segundo contexto se estudia la relación a partir de variables macroeconómicas.

[eng] This paper analyzes the effects of the salary structure, understood as the ratio between fixed and variable remuneration, on agents' productivity. Specifically, the work is interested in discerning, if the cause of the variable remuneration setting included in the contracts is due to incentive reasons related to the asymmetric information problems that appear in the principal-agent relationship and the behavior of the employees, the individuals who are involved in the contractual relationship. This relationship will be analyzed in two different contexts, each of which provides concrete data. In a first context, the relationship between salaries and incentives in experiments will be discussed; while in a second context the relationship is studied from macroeconomic variables.
