La salut vocal a l'escola: educació i prevenció

Abstract

[cat] La preocupació per les patologies vocals i els trastorns de la veu és bastant recent i s’afirma que la nostra societat no està conscienciada que sigui un problema de salut, prenent tot el protagonisme quan sorgeixen disfuncions. La investigació vol mostrar la sensibilització existent sobre la importància de la veu i els trastorns de la producció vocal dels infants, partint de la recerca feta en tres grups d’estudi: els infants, els mestres i els metges especialistes. Així mateix, volem trobar respostes als interrogants que se'ns plantegen com a professionals del llenguatge vers el tema esmentat. Quant als resultats, hem pogut comprovar la manca d’estudis epidemiològics respecte les alteracions vocals infantils, així com les dificultats terminològiques tot i els esforços fets als darrers anys. L’estudi ha evidenciat la manca de sensibilització cap a la veu i les alteracions vocals infantils, essent un camp en un estat gairebé embrionari al nostre país.

[eng] The concern about vocal pathologies and voice problems is quite recent. Professionals, speech therapists, phoniatry specialists and othorhinolaryngologists state that our society is not aware of both its being a health problem and its having the leading role when disfunctions appear. Current research wants to show the increasing awareness of the importance of our voice and of children’s output disorders from the studies carried out to three groups: children, teachers and doctors specialists. Thus, replies to all these questions that we face as language professionals on this topic are intended to be found. As to the results, we have proved the lack of epidemiologic studies as far as the children’s vocal cords are concerned. Furthermore, we want to point out that there is still a big amount of terminological conflicts to be sorted out at the stage where this topic is nowadays, even though there have been many efforts in the last years. The study has shown the lack of sensibility towards voice and children’s vocal alterations, as well as the embryonic state that we face in this field.
