[eng] Sexual coercion between adolescents and young people is considered a topical problem in our
society, especially in couple relationships. Its consequences can affect physical,
psychological and sexual well-being. This has been explained by the sexual scripts that
govern the behaviour in the sexual intercourse. The objective of this study is to evaluate the
prevalence and degree of acceptance of sexual coercion in couple relationships of young
university students. For this purpose, 258 students participated, and they were given two
questionnaires that analyse the sex variables of the perpetrator, degree of cooperation of the
victim and strategies of sexual coercion. The results have shown a low prevalence and degree
of acceptance. On the one hand, we find greater prevalence when the victim first cooperates
and then refuses and, also, when physical stimulation and verbal coercion is used. No
differences have been found between men and women. On the other hand, a higher degree of
acceptance has been obtained when the perpetrator's sex is a woman and when alcohol and/or
drugs are used; in the case of the degree of cooperation of the victim there have not been
significant differences. Finally, men show a higher degree of acceptance than women.
