El impacto del turismo en la educación

[spa] Resumen El principal objetivo de este estudio es analizar cómo se ha desarrollado el turismo en España y conocer su impacto a nivel educativo para realizar una comparativa entre zonas turísticas y zonas no turísticas. La situación del turismo y la relación con el empleo es un aspecto clave para determinar cómo se desarrolla la actividad económica a nivel sociodemográfico. Una característica que presenta ésta relación, es una elevada Tasa de Abandono, que a la vez tiene su origen en el mercado laboral y la demanda de trabajo de baja cualificación por parte del sector. La formación del turismo desde sus inicios se ha marcado por una creciente oferta y ampliación de los estudios, que se ha guiado por las zonas donde más se ha practicado esta actividad económica. Finalmente, veremos que las zonas con más volumen de turistas de España, son aquellas que tienen más población empleada en puestos turísticos con baja cualificación y con tasas de abandono mayores, pero también son pioneras en formación en turismo e investigación, siendo incluso las comunidades donde se encuentran las mejores universidades que ofertan formación en turismo, como es el caso de la Universidad de las Islas Baleares.

[eng] The main objective of this article is analyze how tourism has developed in Spain and analyze the impact in the education to make a comparison between tourist areas and non-tourists areas. The situation of tourism and it is related with employment, and this is a key to determinate how is the impact at a socio-demographic level. One characteristic that presents this relation, is a high rate of Abandonment, that at the same time has its origin in the labor market and the demand of low qualified works. The formation in tourism since its inception has been marketed by a growing supply and expansion of studies, which has been guided by the areas where there are more tourism moviments. Finally, the conclusions show that the areas with the highest volume of tourists in Spain, are those that have the most population employed in tourist posts with low qualifications and higher education abandonment rates, but are also pioneers in tourism studies and investigation, and the universities are considered the most important of the country, as the University of Balearic Island.
