dc.description.abstract [eng] In this final degree project, an analysis of the evaluation and the current state of tourism is presented in order to understand the importance of the sector widely and regionally, and have a basis to make the forecasts for the next 10 years. The objective of this project is to analyse the viability of increasing a hotel from 3 stars to 4. It is a hotel in the port of Alcúdia that currently belongs to a hotel chain with more than 40 years of experience. The objective of the company is to reform the hotel to reach a higher category, introduce the cycle touring segment and be able to remain open for nine months. It can be appreciated a SWOT analysis, a policies’ system on the quality, marketing, human resources and finally an economic viability plan. ca
