Bioeconomía como estrategia competitiva en el Clúster Biotecnológico y Biomédico de las Islas Baleares (BIOIB)

Abstract

[spa] El avance tecnológico, así como las exigencias de la economía mundial ha hecho aflorar un modelo de negocio basado en el clúster, pues este ofrece la oportunidad de incrementar la productividad, prosperidad y valor económico comercial, en su lugar de origen, mediante la especialización de conocimiento, la innovación y la colaboración interempresarial. El Clúster Biotecnológico y Biomédico de las Islas Baleares nació con ese preciso objetivo, incentivar y reforzar la competitividad del sector biotecnológico Balear y, en la actualidad, su plan estratégico pasa por crear una Red Balear de Bioeconomía a través de la cual incrementar su posición dentro de ese campo en nuestro archipiélago y, a su vez, propiciar la aparición de nuevos proyectos y empresas insulares. El objetivo principal de las prácticas, realizadas durante el mes de mayo de 2018, en el citado clúster es conocer el funcionamiento interno del mismo y participar activamente en distintas labores de naturaleza administrativa enmarcadas dentro de su plan estratégico actual y, con ello, explorar el concepto de la Bioeconomía como modelo económico y oportunidades que se le derivan.

[eng] Technological progress and the demands of the global economy have given rise to a business model based on the cluster, which offers the opportunity to increase productivity, prosperity and commercial economic value, in its place of origin, through the specialization of knowledge, innovation and inter-company collaboration. The Biotechnological and Biomedical Cluster of the Balearic Islands was born with this precise objective, to encourage and reinforce the competitiveness of the Balearic biotechnological sector and, at present, its strategic plan is to create a Balearic Bioeconomic Network through which to increase its position within the bioeconomic framework in our archipelago and, at the same time, to promote the appearance of new projects and island companies. The main objective of the practices carried out during the month of May 2018 in the aforementioned cluster is to learn about its internal functioning and actively participate in different tasks of an administrative nature within the framework of its current strategic plan and, with this, to explore the concept of the Bioeconomy as an economic model and the opportunities that derive from it.
