DXS8378-DXS7132 i DXS10134-DXS10074. Els valors de PDf, PDm, MECdesmarais i MECdesmarais
duo varen ser 1,000000000; 0,999999999; 0,999999994 i 0,999998856 respectivament. Aquests

[eng] The Short Tandem Repeats are key markers in Forensic Genetics. In recent years, X-STRs have
notably increased its relevance in the field of Population Genetics and Anthropology due to the
chromosome X´s particular and unique features. In this work 12 markers from the X chromosome
of 120 individuals from Sicily have been studied. This population is identified by its central
geographic location in the Mediterranean territory, which is the reason why multiple populations
have settled throughout history. The 12 markers studied showed a high degree of polymorphism,
DSX10135 being the most variable. From the 4 linkage groups (LG), the most polymorphic is
LG4, having a haplotypic diversity of 0.996 ± 0.002. The analysis for Linkage Disequilibrium
(LD) showed significant associations (P <0.05) of the markers DXS8378-DXS7132 and
DXS10134-DXS10074. The values of PDf, PDm, MECdesmarais and MECdesmarais duo were
1.000000000; 0.9999999999; 0.9999999994 and 0.9999998856. The high values of the forensic
parameters indicate that they are very useful for applications in the field of Forensic and
Population Genetics and, therefore, the present results provide a useful X-STR database for the
Sicilia Island. |
