Neurobiología de la enfermedad del Parkinson

Abstract

[spa] La enfermedad del Parkinson es la segunda enfermedad neurodegenerativa más frecuente en la población después del Alzheimer, es un trastorno complejo y multifactorial que afecta al sistema nervioso y lamentablemente no tiene cura. Consiste en la destrucción inicial de las neuronas dopaminérgicas de la sustancia negra pars compacta del cerebro y acaba extendiéndose la enfermedad a lo largo del cerebro en etapas más avanzadas de la misma, dando como resultado manifestaciones motoras y no motoras de esta patología. En este trabajo abarcaremos los distintos puntos generales sobre este tema, desde una introducción histórica hasta su tratamiento y diagnóstico pasando por bases genéticas y procesos fisiopatológicos de la enfermedad.

[eng] Parkinson's disease is the second most frequent neurodegenerative disease in the population after Alzheimer's, it is a complex and multifactorial disorder that affects the nervous system and unfortunately has no cure. It consists of the initial destruction of the dopaminergic neurons of the compact black substance of the brain and has just spread the disease throughout the brain in the most advanced stages of the brain, as a result of the motor and non-motor signals of this pathology. In this work we will cover the different general points on this topic, from an introduction to its treatment and diagnosis through the genetic bases and pathophysiological processes of the disease.
