La respuesta del trabajador social ante una situación de catástrofe natural

Abstract

[spa] El objetivo general de este trabajo es exponer las líneas de actuación de los trabajadores sociales ante una situación de catástrofe natural. Dicha respuesta por parte de este colectivo, será analizada en el contexto de riada de 1989 y de 2018, para poder observar la evolución de los servicios sociales en un contexto de 30 años. Con dicha finalidad, se ha llevado a cabo una investigación cualitativa mediante la realización de una serie de entrevistas tanto a “expertos profesionales” como a personas afectadas por dicha situación de catástrofe natural. Tras la investigación de dicha respuesta, se pueden observar cambios en un período relativamente corto, pero donde la preparación por parte de los trabajadores sociales y el papel de éste en la sociedad ha ido adquiriendo importancia. A la vez, hemos podido observar todo el proceso de movilización de todos los profesionales que actúan ante una situación de tal gravedad y ver la difícil tarea de coordinación que se realiza.

[eng] The general objective of this work is to expose the lines of action of the social workers in a situation of a natural catastrophe. This response by this group will be analyzed in the context of flooding of 1989 and 2018, in order to observe the evolution of social services in a context of 30 years. To this end, a qualitative research has been carried out by conducting a series of interviews both "professional experts" and people affected by this natural catastrophe situation. After the investigation of this response, changes can be seen in a relatively short period, but where the preparation by the social workers and the role of this one in the society has been becoming important. At the same time, we have been able to observe the whole process of mobilization of all the professionals who act in a situation of such gravity and see the difficult task of coordination that is carried out.
