[eng] This study describes the effects of music therapy program from the therapeutic community approach, the quality of life and mood of a group of 9 people 65 years of social protection center Bosque Popular in Bogota D.C. Colombia, from corporate corporal-sound-musical narratives and verbal that emerged from the experience, was part of the joint investigative approach to non-experimental descriptive-transactional. There were two quantitative measures, through the geriatric depression scale of Yesavage abbreviated GDS-15 for the mood and scale WHOQOL-BREF for quality of life before and after the program. Besides the narratives were collected in a matrix of registration. The Results showed that signs of improvement in the satisfaction of the quality of life mainly with the physical and social dimension, no significant changes in mood, although it showed a high adherence the program, and strengthening of interpersonal interaction. Finally we conclude that the hearing and recreation, sono-dramatizes songs, representations with the body through musical memories, promoted satisfaction with what has been lived with the space group and also the composition of a hymn and a totem instrumental were the music products that gave a sense of what was experienced on the collective experience.
