Conducta agresiva del paciente hacia el profesional de la salud en el entorno hospitalario

[spa] Las agresiones hacia los profesionales sanitarios son un tema de actualidad debido al elevado número de agresiones que se producen en este sector y al aumento progresivo que ha habido en los últimos años. Por este motivo, los trabajadores en el ámbito sanitario, constituyen uno de los principales grupos de riesgo. Actualmente, se estima que la violencia en el sector de la salud es del 25% del total de la violencia laboral. Tras analizar estas variables, podemos llegar a la conclusión, que la mayoría de estas agresiones son de tipo verbal, siendo el perfil de la víctima el de una enfermera, con edad de los 30 a los 39 años y siendo las de mayor edad las que llevan a término las denuncias por agresión. También podemos decir, que el área de urgencias es dónde tienen lugar el mayor número de agresiones, y que éstas, frecuentemente están motivadas por las largas esperas. Por otro lado, no se puede determinar, por falta de datos concluyentes, si éstas agresiones son más por parte de los pacientes o bien por parte de los familiares. A pesar de la legislación y de las medidas que se están tomando para evitar las agresiones al personal sanitario, éstas han ido progresivamente en aumento, quedando todavía un largo recorrido para poder llegar a erradicar el problema.

[eng] Assaults against health professionals are a topical issue due to the high number of attacks that occur in this sector and the progressive increase that has occurred in recent years. For this reason, workers in the health field are one of the main risk groups. Currently, it is estimated that violence in the health sector is 25% of the total of workplace violence. After analyzing these variables, we can conclude that most of these aggressions are of a verbal nature, with the profile of the victim being that of a nurse, aged 30 to 39 and the oldest being those they carry out the denunciations for aggression. We can also say that the emergency area is where the greatest number of aggressions take place, and that these are often motivated by long waits. On the other hand, it can not be determined, for lack of conclusive data, whether these aggressions are more on the part of the patients or on the part of the relatives. In spite of the legislation and the measures that are being taken to prevent the aggressions to the sanitary personnel, these have been progressively increasing, being still a long way to be able to arrive to eradicate the problem.
