Cartografia digital i Sistemes d’Informació Geogràfica com a recurs educatiu a les aules de secundària

Abstract

[cat] En aquest treball es pretén donar a conèixer la importància de la cartografia digital i els Sistemes d’Informació Geogràfica (SIG) com a eina o recurs educatiu i interdisciplinar a les aules de secundària. En conjunt, la disponibilitat i el potencial de les eines SIG juntament amb la transversalitat i tradicionalitat de l’ús del mapa com a recurs educatiu i didàctic, i el desafiament de l’ús d’aquest tipus de tecnologies a les aules de secundària, són l’eix principal sobre el qual es desenvolupa la present recerca. Aquesta busca contribuir a la millora dels processos d’ensenyament-aprenentatge reflexionant sobre les avantatges d’aquests recursos i proporcionant nous materials i seqüències didàctiques. Ressaltarem el marc teòric on el mapa i el SIG prenen rellevància, analitzarem i avaluarem com encaixen aquests recursos amb l’actual currículum educatiu de Secundària a les Illes Balears i desenvoluparem i seqüenciarem 3 propostes didàctiques de 3 assignatures diferents. En resum, la investigació duta a terme en aquest treball avança en diversos aspectes de l’ús de les Tecnologies de la Informació i la Comunicació, concretament els SIG i la cartografia digital a les aules de secundària, analitzant el seu espai curricular, demostrant la seva interdisciplinarietat i la seva contribució en el desenvolupament i l’assoliment de les competències i objectius específics per part dels alumnes.

[eng] This work aims to raise awareness of the importance of digital cartography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) as an educational and interdisciplinary tool or resource in the Compulsory Secondary Education. As a whole, the availability and potential of GIS tools together with the transversality and tradition of the use of the map as an educational and didactic resource, and the challenge of the use of this type of technology in secondary education levels, are the main axis on which this research is developed. This aims at contributing to the improvement of the teaching-learning processes by reflecting on the advantages of these resources and providing new materials and didactic sequences. The theoretical framework where the map and the GIS become relevant will be highlighted, an analysis and evaluation on how these resources fit in with the current Secondary education curriculum in the Balearic Islands will be performed and 3 didactic proposals for 3 different subjects will be developed and sequenced. In summary, the research carried out in this work advances in various aspects of the use of Information and Communication Technologies, specifically GIS and digital cartography in the secondary education, analysing their curricular space, demonstrating their interdisciplinarity and their contribution to the development and achievement of skills and specific objectives by students.
