Mallorca en la fotografia del Centre Excursionista de Catalunya (1915-1936)

Abstract

[cat] El Centre Excursionista de Catalunya, així com les societats excursionistes que el van precedir, van enfocar la pràctica excursionista al coneixement i la difusió del territori i el patrimoni cultural català tractant-se d’estudis de camp estretament vinculats amb l’ideari de la Renaixença. Els viatges i les expedicions que realitzaren a Mallorca venien donades, en els seus inicis, per les connexions culturals. L’afició dels excursionistes per la fotografia va ser l’eina documental per donar a conèixer al públic el paisatge, l’arquitectura, els monuments, l’etnografia i el folklore. Les experiències i els coneixements obtinguts en les eixides mallorquines es divulgaven en articles publicats al butlletí del propi centre o per mitjà de sessions i conferències amb el suport d’imatges fotogràfiques.

[eng] The Centre Excursionista de Catalunya, as well as the hikers partnerships which preceded it, focused their hiker practice on the knowledge and dissemination of the territory and the cultural Catalan heritage. This group conducted studies and researches related to the Renaissance’s ideals. The trips and expeditions that they made to Mallorca were initially caused by the cultural links between the two communities. The passion of photography of the hikers was the documentary tool to make the landscape, architecture, monuments, ethnography and folklore known to the public. The experiences and knowledge acquired by the Mallorcan hikes were disseminated in articles which were published in the official bulletin or through sessions and conferences with the support of photographic pictures.
