Efectes psicosocials de l’ingrés a presó en Persones amb diagnòstic de Salut Mental

Abstract

[cat] El present estudi té per objectiu analitzar les conseqüències que suposa la privació de llibertat per a una persona amb diagnòstic de salut mental, sovint correlacionat amb trastorns additius i/o discapacitat. Aquesta, esdevé una realitat poc visible i complexa encoberta en diversos escenaris i, precisament, dita invisibilització afavoreix que la situació d’exclusió social soferta pel col·lectiu es perpetuï al llarg de la seva vida. Motiu pel qual escau la necessitat de qüestionar-se des d’una postura ètica la imposició de certes condemnes judicials a individus que han obrat sota les condicions d’una malaltia mental (i, en cas de patologia dual, sota l’efecte de substàncies psicoactives). Dita qüestió implica analitzar la qualitat en l’atenció social i sanitària oferta pel sistema penitenciari -així com la coordinació amb els recursos externs-, estudiar la falta d’oportunitats i el devastador estigma que genera l’encarcerament i, explorar les diferents alternatives a la privació de llibertat existents en altres països

[eng] The aim of this study is to investigate the consequences of the deprivation of freedom for a person who is diagnosed with mental health, often correlated with additives and/or disabilities disorders. This is an unseen reality that hides great complexity in multitude of ways and, precisely, this invisibility encourages the social exclusion situation suffered by the collective to perpetuates itself throughout her life. Therefore, it becomes the necessity of questioning from an ethical stance, the imposition posed by certain judicial penalties for people who have obtained under the conditions of a mental illness (and, in the event of a dual pathology, under the effect of substances psychoactive). This situation implies the analysis of the social-health care offered by the penitentiary system; As well as studying the lack of opportunities and the devastating stigma generated by the inking; and publicize the different alternatives to the deprivation of freedom existing in other countries.
