Anàlisi sociodemogràfic de les famílies adoptives de Mallorca

[cat] Amb els anys, l’entitat familiar tradicional ha anat transformant-se, donant lloc a nous tipus de famílies. A aquests canvis s’hi ha d’afegir la magnitud que ha anat adquirint l’adopció de menors. Amb els anys la idea en sí de l’adopció ha anat canviant, fins al punt en el qual ja no parlem exclusivament de parelles infèrtils que adopten a nadons. Analitzant el perfil sociodemogràfic de les famílies què aquesta darrera dècada han adoptat a nens majors de sis anys; la majoria són parelles heteroparentals, però també en són moltes les dones monoparentals, i des del 2005, encara que sembli que de manera minoritària, també trobem parelles homoparentals. Així mateix, malgrat que un nombre elevat de famílies inicien el projecte d’adopció impulsats per la infertilitat, també es registren altres motivacions, entre les que hem de destacar el desig real de ser pares i mares com a la més sana. A més, a nivell social, hem estat travessant un període de crisi econòmica, que ha pogut provar alteracions en aquestes famílies; com una reducció de la iniciativa per adoptar, o l’augment de contractes laborals de menys estabilitat.

[eng] Over the years there have been appearing more types of families; that’s because of the evolution of the original family concept. At this change we have to include the magnitude of adoptions. With the passing of time, the concept of adoption has been changing too, now we don’t speak only about infertile couples who adopt a baby. If we analyse the social profile of adoptive families, who in the last decade have adopted children with more than six years, we can observe that the majority are couples formed for a man and a woman, but there are also a lot of single-parent woman’s, and since 2005, homosexual couples, however it seams that it is a minority. What’s more, although an important number of families start the project because of the infertility, there are other motivations; we should emphasize the real wish of being parents like the more healthy. In addition, we have been leaving an economic crisis and that could disrupt the social aspects from those families, like a reduction on the initiative of adopt, or the increase of the less stability labour contracts.
