Perfiles psicológicos en una relación tóxica

[spa] El nivel de autoestima en los jóvenes es bastante preocupante. Tenemos la sospecha que este factor se vea influenciado por el creciente número de parejas sentimentales que mantienen una relación toxica. Nuestro objetivo en este estudio es averiguar qué tipo de perfiles presentan las personas que mantienen esas relaciones tóxicas, hipotetizando que mostrarán una baja autoestima y posibles trastornos psicosomáticos. La muestra ha sido de 150 personas, (100 mujeres y 50 hombres). Asimismo, se pretendía investigar la diferencias entre orientaciones sexuales. Sin embargo, se obtuvo una muestra bastante pequeña de los participantes homosexuales, concretamente 15 personas, de forma que las comparaciones y diferencias entre orientaciones sexuales son simplemente orientativas. La investigación se llevó a cabo a través de una encuesta de 40 preguntas que evaluaban el nivel de autoestima, la toxicidad en la relación, la posible personalidad tóxica y los trastornos psicosomáticos. Hallamos resultados muy similares en los dos sexos en relaciones tóxicas, aunque el hombre superaba al sexo femenino en personalidad tóxica, por lo que se sospecha que suele ser el incitador a la relación tóxica. Los homosexuales presentaron más problemas de toxicidad en la relación y mayor baja autoestima que los heterosexuales. Los resultados también indican diferencias significativas entre las personas que se hallan en una relación tóxica y las que no, en las variables de autoestima y trastornos psicosomáticos.

[eng] The level of self-esteem in young people is quite worrying. We suspect that this factor is influenced by the increasing number of romantic partners who have a toxic relationship. Our objective in this study is to find out what type of profiles are presented by people who maintain these toxic relationships, hypothesizing that they will show low self-esteem and possible psychosomatic disorders. The sample was 150 people, (100 women and 50 men). Likewise, it was intended to investigate the differences between sexual orientations. However, a fairly small sample of homosexual participants, specifically 15 people, was obtained so that comparisons and differences between sexual orientations are merely indicative. The research was carried out through a survey of 40 questions that evaluated the level of self-esteem, relationship toxicity, possible toxic personality and psychosomatic disorders. We found very similar results in the two sexes in toxic relationships, although the man outnumbered the female in toxic personality, so it is suspected that it is usually the inciter to the toxic relationship. Homosexuals presented more relationship toxicity problems and higher low self-esteem than heterosexuals. The results also indicate significant differences between people who are in a toxic relationship and those who are not, in the variables of self-esteem and psychosomatic disorders.
