Uso de la dieta cetogénica durante el tratamiento de pacientes con glioma

[spa] El cáncer o tumor cerebral es una enfermedad que tiene una incidencia de mortalidad muy elevada hoy en día. El tratamiento de elección primario es farmacológico. En el presente trabajo de revisión a la literatura científica, se pretende buscar un tratamiento alternativo como, por ejemplo, la dieta cetogénica. La finalidad de éste es observar el poder de esta dieta sobre la enfermedad del paciente y tiene cómo objetivo conocersu funcióna la hora de prolongar la supervivencia y dotar de mejor calidad de vida al paciente durante el proceso.Se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica en 8 bases de datos, entre los años 2010 y 2020ambos incluidos, de las cuales sólo se obtuvo resultados en dos. De un total de 66 artículos, finalmente se seleccionaron 22 que cumplían los criterios de inclusión.La evidencia que hemos estado analizando considera que la dieta cetogénica es un tratamiento adyuvante muy interesante a la hora de compaginarla con tratamientos cómo la quimioterapia (QT) y radioterapia (RT). Se ha podido observar que la restricción calórica y la hipoglucemia en sangre frenan el crecimiento tumoral. En la mayoría de los estudios realizados se ha demostrado una buena adherencia por parte del paciente y escasos efectos adversos. Por otra parte, se ha demostrado que es necesario seguir investigando sobre el tema, ya que no hay suficiente evidencia científica y ensayos clínicos para que sea ajustadocomo tratamiento complementario

[eng] Cancer or brain cancer is a disease that has a really high incidence of mortality nowadays. The primary treatment of choice is pharmacological. The aim of this essay is to find an alternative treatment to the previously one mentioned such as the ketogenic diet. The purpose of this treatment is to observe the power of this diet on the patient's disease and its objective is to know its functionin prolonging the patient’s survival.
