[eng] The bad image of Banks in Spain, is a mainstream perception among citizens,
as stated on the Stability Report by the central Bank of Spain. In the other hand,
most of the main spanish Banks have released extraordinary earnings results,
in some cases setting new record earnings for the institution.
Diverse studies from world statistical institutions show a different upcoming
trend in new generations towards the digital world, with decreasing interest in
working alongside traditional financial institutions.
The study included in this assignment offers the results from a survey with the
participation of 151 people who give their perceptions about financial institutions
in Spain. We also measure their economic knowledge and consumption habits
in digital products, in order to contrast this information with the researched data,
and stablish if this trend towards mistrust in financial institutions is justified by
their unefficient working methodology or are the digitalization and memories
from the Great Reccesion the real purpose for the upcoming generations to get
away from the traditional banking institutions. |
