L’auge del lloguer turístic a les Illes Balears

[cat] Des del començament del segle XXI el turisme a escala mundial està sofrint un canvi radical a causa de l’arribada d’un dels fenòmens de transformació social més important del segle XX: La revolució d’internet i les xarxes socials. Un dels llocs on s’ha vist aquesta transformació ha estat en la manera d’organitzar els viatges. Antigament havies d’acudir a un tour operador o a una agència de viatges, mentre que en l’actualitat, amb la facilitat d’accés a internet i amb les noves aplicacions, la majoria de la població organitza els seus viatges des de casa seva. Les noves tecnologies han originat l’aparició de nous canals de comunicació i distribució com els P2P (peer to peer), que ofereixen la possibilitat trobar diferents tipus d’allotjament a totes bandes del món, per quan vas de viatge. Les Illes Balears, que es caracteritzen per basar-se en una economia turística, han notat d’una manera determinant l’arribada d’aquestes plataformes P2P, i precisament els hotelers de l’arxipèlag no estan gaire contents. Aquest treball vol explicar les causes de l’auge que està tenint el lloguer turístic, quines mesures legislatives s’estan prenent per intentar regular-lo, analitzar les conseqüències econòmiques de les mesures adoptades i finalment s’exposaran algunes conclusions respecte a la informació recopilada durant la investigació.

[eng] Since the beginning of century XXI, tourism all over the world is undergoing a radical change because of the arrival of one of the most important social transformation phenomena of the century: The revolution of the Internet and social networks. One of the deepest transformations is the way how to organize trips. Previously, you need to go to a tour operator or a travel agency, while nowadays, with the easy access to the web and his news applications, most of the population organizes their trips at home. New technologies have built up new communication and Distribution networks such as P2P (peer to peer), which offer the possibility to find different types of accommodation in all over the world. The Balearic Islands, which are characterized by tourist economy, have noticed the arrival of these P2P platforms, and the hotel owners feel annoyed. This work explains the reasons of the tourist rental boom, the new legislative regulations set up by the local government and the economic consequences of these measures. Finally, some conclusions will be presented regarding the information collected during the investigation.
