Terrorismo en destinos turísticos. Implicaciones turísticas y económicas

Abstract

[spa] Durante este trabajo de fin de grado analizaremos las consecuencias que tienen los actos terroristas tanto en la actividad turística, como en la economía del país afectado. Nos informaremos sobre la evolución de los principales grupos terroristas más conocidos en Europa, sus primeros actos y los distintos motivos de porque estos actos. Profundizaremos en el impacto que estos hechos tienen sobre el número de visitantes del país afectado por los atentados, la pérdida económica que suponen y la traslación de turistas de lugares beligerantes a otros destinos más seguros. Para ello estudiaremos algunos casos concretos de destinos turísticos golpeados por un incremento de estas represalias y finalmente observaremos como España se ha podido ver beneficiada por el aumento de la inseguridad ciudadana de sus principales competidores a nivel turístico.

[eng] During this end-of-grade project we will analyze the consequences of terrorist acts in tourism activity and in the economy of the affected country. We will inform you about the evolution of the main terrorist groups in Europe, their first acts and the different reasons why these acts. We will deepen into the impact that these facts have on the number of visitors from the country affected by the attacks, the economic loss that they entail and the transfer of tourists from belligerent places to other, safer destinations. Futhermore, we will study some specific cases of tourist destinations hit by an increase in these reprisals and finally we will see how Spain has been able to benefit from the increase in citizen insecurity of its main competitors at the tourist level.
