El impacto del “Overtourism” desde una perspectiva multidisciplinar

Abstract

[spa] En el presente trabajo se lleva a cabo una investigación de lo que es el término “Overtourism” y su impacto en general, basada en artículos de autores que hablan sobre ello, igual que revistas y periódicos. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es tratar de entender el término desde diferentes puntos de vista y estudiar con detalle tanto las dificultades como los beneficios que conlleva tener “Saturación turística” en los destinos. Además, se ilustran diferentes ejemplos de destinos que sufren “Overtourism”, cada uno de ellos experimentan diferentes dificultades dependiendo del tipo de destino, de esta manera, se trata de demostrar que el fenómeno de “Saturación turística” aparece en cualquier lugar. Los resultados de esta investigación son abstractos, ya que a menudo, tanto la sociedad como el gobierno, se enfrentan al dilema de por una parte priorizar los beneficios económicos propios e individuales que conlleva el “Overtourism” o por otra parte, preservar el medio ambiente.

[eng] The reports involves an investigation into the understanding of the term 'overtourism' and the impact this is having in general, based on articles, magazines and newspaper reports discussing the subject. The principle objective of this report looks to understand the term from a broad range of perspectives and analyse in detail both the difficulties and benefits stemming from 'saturated tourism' on a particular destination. More so, different examples of destinations which have suffered from 'overtourism' are discussed, highlighting the range of different difficulties faced. Adopting this approach demonstrates that the 'overtourism' phenomenon is apparent across all locations. The results of this investigation are somewhat abstract, since the general population, in addition to the national government, are met with the dilemma of prioritising mutual and individual economic benefits generated, or the preservation of the natural environment.
