Factores de riesgo en agresores de violencia de género

Abstract

[spa] Cada año son asesinadas muchas mujeres en España, así como en todo el mundo, en el contexto de la violencia de género (VdG). Son múltiples los factores que facilitan y mantienen las conductas violentas de hombres maltratadores hacia sus parejas o exparejas, independientemente de si estas variables son individuales -tanto masculinas como femeninas- o del contexto. Numerosos estudios se han centrado en la víctima de VdG y en los factores relativos a ésta, omitiendo el abordaje del agresor, así como los factores que facilitan que el hombre presente este tipo de conductas. No obstante, es necesario conocer los factores personales, sociales y contextuales implicados a fin de intervenir y prevenir de forma específica y con garantías de éxito. A tal efecto, se describen las diferentes tipologías de agresores, así como los diferentes factores de riesgo que pueden facilitar las agresiones en el contexto de la violencia de género.

[eng] Every year there are many women murdered both in Spain, and all over the world, in the context of gender violence. There are multiple factors that facilitate and maintain the violent behavior of abusive men towards their partners or ex-partners, regardless if these variables are individual - both male and female - or the context. Numerous studies have focused on the victim of gender violence and on the factors related to her, omitting the approach of the aggressor, as well as the factors that facilitate the man to present this type of behavior. However, it is necessary to know the personal, social and contextual factors involved in order to intervene and prevent this specifically and with guarantees of success. In this way, the different types of aggressors are described, as well as the different risk factors that could facilitate aggression in the context of gender violence.
