La Conquesta de Jerusalem en el context de la Primera Guerra Judeo-romana segons les narracions de Flavi Josep

Abstract

[cat] El present treball analitza la conquesta romana de Jerusalem en el context de la primera guerra judeo-romana, en concret es centra en el desenvolupament de les accions militars durant la confrontació, tant des de l´òptica de l´ofensiva romana com de la defensa del poble jueu, defensa que no va estar absent de diferents dinàmiques internes que propiciaren enfrontament ideològics dins el propi bàndol rebel. A més, a més es tracta, per les seves dimensions i importància estratègica, d´un dels setges més important de la història militar de l´imperi, exemple paradigmàtic de la poliorcètica romana documentat detalladament gràcies a les narracions de Flavi Josep. En aquest context la conquesta comportarà una de les fites més importants i tràgiques per a la història del poble hebreu, representada amb la destrucció del segon temple, i amb l´extermini i l´esclavitud de la població de la ciutat.

[eng] The present work analyzes the Roman conquest of Jerusalem in the context of the first Judeo-Roman war, in particular, it focuses on the development of military actions during the confrontation, both from the point of view of the Roman offensive and the defense of the Jewish people. This defense was not absent from different internal dynamics that led to ideological confrontation within the rebel side. In addition, due to its size and strategic importance, it is one of the most important sieges in the military history of the empire, a paradigmatic example of Roman protections from attacks documented in detail thanks to the narrations of Flavius Josephus. In this context, the conquest will lead to one of the most important and tragic facts in the history of the Hebrew people, represented by the destruction of the second temple, and by the extermination and slavery of the city's population.
