[eng] This work is a literature review of comparative studies on emotional intelligence in multicultural contexts as well as comparative studies between students residing in different countries. The aim was to learn about the current situation regarding emotional education in different multicultural contexts as well as to discover and analyze the way in which the emotional intelligence of children from different backgrounds and in different parts of the world is studied. A literature review has been done using different databases, introducing words such as "emotional intelligence" and "cross-cultural", from which the articles presented in the work were extracted. In general we should continue delving on emotional education because of its benefits on children by reducing risk situations. In addition, there are differences between native students and those from different cultural backgrounds, this fact shows the need to give more support to foreign students in order to ensure proper emotional development. Finally, in terms of comparisons between countries, individualistic cultures tend to score significantly above collectivist cultures in emotional intelligence due to the tendency to place personal well-being above the collective.
