dc.description.abstract [eng] Bariatric surgery in morbid obesity is the best treatment to maintain the weight loss achieved in the long term. Despite being the best recognized treatment, a percentage of obese people reap weight in the long term or do not achieve the proposed objectives. To improve the results of surgical treatment, it is essential to associate a follow-up by a multidisciplinary team with endocrinologists, nutritionists and, if possible, with psychologists.
