[eng] This text aims to carry out two tasks: 1) a bibliographic review of the main personality traits of suicidal law enforcement officers. 2) To compare the results obtained in objective 1 with those obtained by means of psychological autopsy to identify the personality traits of the deceased. The search was carried out using different meta-search engines. The results obtained for point 1) are that the police officers who attempted suicide had recent relationship problems, with a stable and strong relationship being a protective factor. Neurotic and introverted traits are risk factors, as well as the consumption of alcohol or other harmful substances. Suffering from depression or the use of inadequate tools to cope with stress are also considered risk factors. The different studies reviewed coincide for the most part in determining the personality traits of the deceased studied by psychological autopsy, with the personality traits mentioned above in point 1. From all this, it can be concluded that it is not the occupation that determines the probability of suicide, but the personal characteristics, and that these coincide in the majority of the population.
