El cicloturisme, una opció per a la desestacionalització turística a la zona Nord de Mallorca (Pollença)

Abstract

[cat] Mallorca és una zona amb estacionalitat turística estival, on el turisme predominant és el de sol i platja. Com a conseqüència, s’ha produït una diversificació turística per a complementar i lluitar contra aquesta estacionalitat. L’objectiu principal d’aquest treball ha estat demostrar que el cicloturisme, una de les moltes formes de diversificació turística, és una pràctica turística que serveix per desestacionalitzar el turisme de sol i platja que es realitza durant els mesos de juliol i agost a Mallorca, concretament a Pollença (Nord de Mallorca). Demostrar com aquesta pràctica turística permet allargar la temporada turística durant els mesos de primavera i tardor. Per a demostrar-ho s’ha realitzat una recerca de fonts bibliogràfiques i s’ha obtingut informació a partir de fonts qualitatives com l’entrevista. S’ha dut a terme un estudi sobre l’estacionalitat del turisme respecte al clima a Mallorca, un estudi de la diversificació turística existent a Mallorca i s’han realitzat entrevistes a empreses d’explotació cicloturística i hotels del municipi de Pollença.

As a result, there has been a diversification of tourism to complement and combat this seasonality. The main objective of this work has been to show that cycling tourism, one of the many forms of tourist diversification, is a tourist practice that serves to deseasonalize sun and beach tourism that takes place during the months of July and August in Mallorca. , specifically in Pollença (northern Mallorca). Demonstrate how this tourist practice allows to extend the tourist season during the spring and autumn months. To prove this, a search was made for bibliographic sources and information was obtained from qualitative sources such as the interview. A study has been carried out on the seasonality of tourism with respect to the climate in Mallorca, a study of the existing tourist diversification in Mallorca and interviews have been carried out with cycling tourism companies and hotels in the municipality of Pollença.
