dc.description.abstract [eng] The LGBTQI+ community still suffers from discrimination and a tremendous lack of visibility in spite of the rights achieved in the last decades. With regards to this, heterosexuality is still broadly assumed in educational contexts. Consequently, topics related to LGBTQI+ identities tend to be avoided both inside the classroom as well as in the teaching materials used. The objective of this dissertation is hence to present a didactic proposal based on the use of literature in English with which students can be educated in sexual and gender diversity in school. More specifically, a proposal based on LGTBQ literature in English has been designed for second-year Bachillerato students. Furthermore, this proposal intends not only to help learners improve their critical thinking abilities, but also engage them in both cooperative and collaborative work. Finally, attention will be paid to the four language skills and the different basic learning competences as well. ca
