dc.description.abstract [eng] This research is focused on analysing how the principal Spanish hotel chains: Meliá Hotels International, Barceló Group and Iberostar Hotels & Resorts apply the recommendations made by the guide of good practices in CSR of Federación Empresarial Hotelera de Mallorca. It is distributed into the following points: an introductory part to understand the concept of CSR, an economic part that measures the dimensions of the tourist industry and these firms, and an analytic part that describes and compares the mechanisms of CSR that these three companies implement. ca
