Turismo cultural en el centro histórico de Palma

Abstract

[spa] En este trabajo se pretende abordar el estudio del turismo cultural en el centro histórico de Palma, y analizar la potencialidad del patrimonio histórico hasta el momento en que se interrumpe la actividad turística en marzo del 2020, causada por la crisis del Covid-19. Se basa en la investigación de fuentes primarias de organismos públicos, y en el proceso de documentación y análisis de los resultados del trabajo de campo, para determinar el potencial y el desarrollo del centro histórico. Este estudio presenta una propuesta de candidatura para la ciudad de Palma como Patrimonio de la Humanidad, como una medida de reconocimiento a nivel internacional de la riqueza del patrimonio de la ciudad, con la finalidad de atraer más turistas y concienciar a la población de la importancia de su preservación y conservación.

[eng] This work aims to address the study of cultural tourism in the historic center of Palma and analyze the potential of its historical heritage until the interruption of tourism activity in March 2020 caused by the Covid-19 crisis. It is based on the investigation of primary sources of public organisms, and in the process of documentation and analysis of the results of the field work carried out by professionals of the sector to determine the potential and the development of the historic center. This study presents a candidacy proposal for the city of Palma as a World Heritage Site, as a measure of international recognition of the wealth of the city's heritage, in order to attract more tourists and make the population aware of the importance of its preservation and conservation.
