[eng] Human capital plays an indispensable role in the operation of hotels. To understand the differencesinthe human resource demand of luxury hotels in different regions, this study will conduct dataanalysison the recruitment information of luxury hotels in Hainan Island and the Balearic Islands - twofamoustourist destinations in China and Spain. The dataset will be obtained from LinkedIn for conductingcontent analysis and descriptive statistical analysis. The requirements of employee’s languagelevel, work experience, skills, education level and other personal conditions in luxury hotels’ recruitment
information will be analyzed. The conclusion discusses the differences between the labor demandcharacteristics of luxury hotels in these two regions. The results demonstrate that luxury hotelsinBalearic Islands have more strict standards in recruitment, both in terms of skills, experience, education, and training. The results can help candidates to better understand the needs of thehotel
industry, and the differences in human resource demand in this industry under different cultural andsocial backgrounds. In the summary, suggestions for candidates are put forward toobtainmanagement positions in the future.
