dc.description.abstract [eng] Climate change (CC) is currently creating great commotion worldwide and not in vain. CC is changing many aspects and systems of the Earth: increase in average temperature, sea level rise, meteorological phenomena, alterations in the functions of some ecosystems, etc. This work will focus on economic systems, and especially on the tourism sector in Mediterranean areas, one of the areas most vulnerable and affected by CC due to the fact it is a Hot-spot, to the characteristics of the area and its high dependence on climate and environmental quality. As climate is considered a key resource in this region, the different impacts derived from CC will be capable of altering and damaging the attractiveness of this region and changing tourism demand. ca
