Turismofobia en Mallorca

Abstract

[spa] En este proyecto, se ha realizado una investigación para determinar si en Mallorca se produce el fenómeno conocido como turismofobia. Para llegar a esta conclusión, se ha analizado la correcta definición del término y las variables que la producen. Además, se han comparando los actos producidos en Barcelona, los cuales hacen que la ciudad se caracterice como turismofóbica, con los que se han producido en Mallorca, para así determinar si la isla es considerada turismofóbica. También se ha analizado si con la llegada del covid-19 la turismofobia ha incrementado o ha disminuido. Un suceso obvio es que el número de turistas ha disminuido, al igual que otras variables como la masificación, pero a pesar de ello, se ha comprobado que la turismofobia persiste en Mallorca. También se observa que los factores que conducen a esta actual turismofobia son distintos a los que se podían observaban en los años anteriores al 2020 (año covid-19).

[eng] In this project, an investigation has been carried out to determine whether the phenomenon known as turismophobia occurs in Mallorca. To reach this conclusion, the correct definition of the term and the variables that produce it have been analyzed. In addition, the events produced in Barcelona, which make the city characterize itself as tourismophobic, have been compared with those that have occurred in Mallorca, in order to determine if the island is considered tourismophobic. It has also been analyzed whether with the arrival of Covid-19, tourismophobia has increased or decreased. An obvious event is that the number of tourists has decreased, as have other variables such as overcrowding, but despite this, it has been found that tourist phobia persists in Mallorca. It is also observed that the factors that lead to this current tourismophobia are different from those that could be observed in the years prior to 2020 (year covid-19).
