dc.description.abstract	[eng] This paper consists of an analysis of extended research on Mergers and Acquisitions based on the characteristics of these practices, the advantages and disadvantages and the public policies by which they are affected. Examples of success and failure in several industries are presented. Finally, given the results of the research, this paper suggests practices to adopt for the improvement of mergers and acquisitions agreements.	ca
