[spa] El presente trabajo estudia las razones del nacimiento de la música minimalista y su desarrollo a lo largo de la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Se introduce la investigación mediante un breve estudio de los conceptos artísticos del clasicismo y del romanticismo y la contextualización de principios del siglo XX. El trabajo contiene un análisis motívico y fraseológico de la obra de David Lang Press Release, fundamentado en los objetivos compositivos y sonoros de los precursores del minimalismo musical.

[eng] This work investigates the reasons for the birth of minimalist music and its development during the second half of the 20th century. The research is introduced through a brief study of the artistic concepts of Classicism and Romanticism and the contextualization of the early 20th century. The work contains a motivic and phraseological analysis of the work of David Lang Press Release, based on the compositional and sonic objectives of the precursors of musical minimalism.
