Análisis económico-financiero de Meliá Hotels International SA

[spa] El siguiente trabajo consiste en un estudio sobre una de las principales compañías del sector turístico, un sector que aporta en un 11,7% del PIB en España: Meliá Hotels International SA. Este análisis pretende conocer la situación de esta compañía antes y durante la crisis del COVID-19. Se realizará un análisis sobre sus principales variables económico-financieras en el marco geopolítico del Brexit y se determinará la evolución en el valor de sus acciones tras los eventos antes mencionados. En primer lugar, se comentará cualitativamente la situación de la empresa, basado en la información del Informe de Gestión y las Cuentas Consolidadas, así como la evolución de sus acciones. Posteriormente, se evaluarán los principales indicadores financieros y, finalmente, se determinará la situación de los actuales y potenciales accionistas.

[eng] The following work consists of a study on one of the main companies in the tourism sector, a sector that contributes 11.7% of GDP in Spain: Meliá Hotels International SA. This analysis aims to know the situation of this company before and during the COVID-19 crisis. An analysis will be carried out on its main economic-financial variables in the geopolitical framework of Brexit and the evolution in the value of its shares after the aforementioned events will be determined. In the first place, the situation of the company will be qualitatively commented, based on the information of the Management Report and the Consolidated Accounts, as well as the evolution of its shares. Subsequently, the main financial indicators will be evaluated and, finally, the situation of current and potential shareholders will be determined.
