La Superliga Europea de Fútbol

Abstract

[spa] La creación de una liga cerrada formada por los principales clubes europeos, llamada Superliga Europea de Fútbol, amenaza el actual modelo de competición que se tiene en el mundo del fútbol. Por ello, se expondrán los motivos y las intenciones de dichos equipos en desligarse de la actual competición europea, la UEFA Champions League. Para ello, se ha hecho uso de diferentes fuentes de información con la intención de contextualizar el tema expuesto y, de esta forma, poder analizar de la mejor forma los diferentes argumentos que componen esta idea. Además, se hará hincapié en la importancia que ha tenido el Covid-19 a la hora de acelerar el proceso de que la idea de la Superliga Europea de Fútbol pasase de ser una mera amenaza, a poder convertirse en un punto de inflexión del deporte tal y como lo conocemos.

[eng] The creation of a closed league made up of the top European clubs, called the European Football Super League, threatens the current model of competition in world football. For this reason, the motives and intentions of these teams to dissociate themselves from the current European competition, the UEFA Champions League, will be presented. In order to do so, different sources of information have been used with the intention of contextualizing the exposed topic and, in this way, to be able to analyze in the best way the different arguments that make up this idea. In addition, emphasis will be placed on the importance of Covid-19 in accelerating the process of moving the idea of the European Football Super League from being a mere threat to becoming a turning point in the sport as we know it.
