La literatura turística del siglo XIX e inicios del XX sobre Baleares, una posibilidad cultural para la industria

[spa] Para muchos viajeros que llegaron a las Islas Baleares a finales del siglo XIX y principios de XX, esta travesía suponía una odisea casi arquetípica, un viaje iniciático, la búsqueda del paraíso perdido rumbo al sur y una fuente de inspiración. Sin embargo, parece que los objetivos de los nuevos turistas quedan muy distantes de dicha poética y resultan ser mucho más realistas y menos líricos. Este trabajo pretende hacer un recorrido sobre las obras de aquellos célebres poetas, literatos y artistas, que dedicaron páginas memorables a estas maravillosas islas y que contribuyeron a la imagen de las Baleares en el exterior. Para dicho estudio, se han llevado a cabo entrevistas con reputados escritores y se han consultado fuentes literarias, con el objeto de obtener un análisis fiel sobre aquella búsqueda, quizá perdida, y la transformación que nos ha llevado al mundo actual. ¿Existe la oportunidad de abrir un nuevo camino y ofrecer una posibilidad cultural para las islas?

[eng] For many of the visitors who came to the Balearic Islands in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, this crossing was an almost archetypal odyssey, an initiatory journey, a search for a lost paradise and a source of inspiration. However, it seems that the objectives of the new tourists are far away from such poetics and seem to be much more realistic and less lyrical. This paper aims to review the works of those famous writers, poets and artists who dedicated memorable pages to these magnificent islands and who contributed to their image abroad. For this study, interviews have been conducted with renowned writers and literary sources have been consulted, with the aim of obtaining a faithful analysis of that search, perhaps lost, and the transformation that has led us to today's world. Is there an opportunity to break new ground and offer a cultural possibility for the islands?
