El parque natural de Mondragó ante los impactos ambientales

[spa] Para acceder a un desarrollo socioeconómico consecuente con la protección del medio ambiente y en armonía con la calidad de vida, es necesario llevar a cabo acciones estratégicas dirigidas a minimizar las incidencias adversas de los actuales modelos turísticos, así como de la propia actividad turística. En este sentido, los efectos que ocasiona la actividad turística se han convertido en una permanente demanda de la sociedad, a causa de su incidencia negativa en el ambiente natural y climatológico, adquiriendo estos efectos una mayor significación en aquellas zonas geográficas de sol y playa, donde tiene lugar una elevada presión del turismo. El objetivo del presente estudio es analizar la relación existente entre el turismo y los efectos que el mismo genera en el clima y en los ecosistemas, concretamente, en el Parque Natural de Mondragó, perteneciente al término municipal de Santanyí y situado en la costa sureste de Mallorca, así como las consecuencias de la insuficiente regulación para su correcta protección, provocando con ello que el turismo sostenible se presente como un reto y, a su vez, como la única alternativa para la mejora de los impactos ambientales.

[eng] In order to achieve socio-economic development consistent with environmental protection and in harmony with the quality of life, it is necessary to carry out strategic actions aimed at minimising the adverse effects of the current tourist models, as well as of the tourist activity itself. In this sense, the effects caused by tourist activity have become a permanent demand of society, due to its negative impact on the natural and climatological environment, with these effects acquiring greater significance in those geographical areas of sun and beach, where tourism is under high pressure. The aim of this study is to analyse the relationship between tourism and the effects it has on the climate and ecosystems, specifically in the Mondragó Natural Park, which belongs to the municipality of Santanyí and is located on the southeast coast of Mallorca, as well as the consequences of insufficient regulation for its correct protection, thus making sustainable tourism a challenge and, at the same time, the only alternative for improving environmental impacts.
