L'impacte de la gentrificació en el teixit associatiu del barri de Nou Llevant. Un estudi de cas

Abstract

[cat] En les darreres dècades, nombrosos barris de les ciutats espanyoles, s’han vist immersos en processos de gentrificació que han resultat en l’expulsió dels seus veïnats més humils i la substitució d’aquests per una població més benestant. Així, en aquest treball s’exposen els resultats obtinguts de la investigació sobre la gentrificació en el barri de Palma de Nou Llevant. Paral·lelament, es desenvolupen els fenòmens de desinversió i abandonament, la posterior transformació i reinversió en el paisatge urbà, la posició i comportament del teixit associatiu i veïnal davant dits fets i l’impacte de tal succés sobre el caràcter del barri i dels seus propis veïnats. Finalment, a mode de conclusió, es presenta una discussió sobre els resultats obtinguts de la investigació, així com també una sèrie de propostes de millora i d’intervenció des de la disciplina del Treball Social Comunitari.

[eng] In the last few decades, many neighbourhoods in Spanish cities have been immersed in processes of gentrification that have resulted in the eviction of their humblest neighbours and their replacement by a more affluent population. Thus, in this work, the results obtained from the research obtained on gentrification in the neighbourhood of Palma, NouLlevant, are presented. At the same time, we will focus on the disinvestment and abandonment, the subsequent transformation and reinvestment in the urban landscape, the position and behaviour of the associative and neighbours’ fabric in the face of these events and the impact of such event on the character of the neighbourhood and its own neighbours. Finally, as a conclusion, a discussion is presented on the results obtained from the research, as well as a series of proposals for improvement and intervention from the discipline of Community Social Work.
