[eng] The island tourism sector is developing rapidly all over the world because of its
exclusive style and characteristics, which is on many occasions different from
inland tourism. One area which is an indispensable part of island tourism is
tourist accommodation which should be as varied as possible. For this reason,
hotels located on islands all over the world have different construction styles,
business conditions, and most of them also provide different products and
services. In this dissertation, we have compared some hotels on two of the
world's most popular islands, Mallorca Spain and Hainan China. More
particularly, we will analyse the online reviews written by a group of customers
on the platform Booking. The results indicate that hotels in Hainan Island of
China and Mallorca are very different in facilities and services, and tourists'
attention to hotels is also different.
