[eng] COVID-19 had a profound and unprecedented impact on the MICE sector, as
well as the economy as a whole. Every event, convention center, and fairground
in the world was forced to shut down. As a result of the pandemic, the needs
and motivations of the demand have changed, affecting the future of the MICE
industry.
In this bachelor's thesis, I will explore how the MICE sector will recover,
attempting to regain public confidence. I will consult experts in the field in order
to make specific predictions regarding the future of this sector that is so
important to the Spanish economy.
After a survey of professionals in the MICE sector, it was concluded that with a
view to holding events in 2023, most of the measures that we have been using
to date will be reduced and those that remain will be because they provide other
benefits. Especially in certain fields where assistance is not so necessary,
virtuality will remain. This year's performance is expected to be similar to that of
2019, which represents a very positive outlook for MICE.
