Turismo de festivales. Diferencias entre España e Inglaterra

[spa] De cada vez son más las nuevas tipologías de turismo que aparecen para separarse del turismo de sol y playa con el objetivo de diversificar la economía. Así pues, el turismo de festivales ya es bastante conocido en muchos países, aunque por supuesto en diferente medida y por eso sus efectos son también distintos. Esta tipología de turismo suele generar un debate sobre sus ventajas y desventajas. En este trabajo de fin de grado, se comparará la historia y la evolución que han tenido los festivales de música en Inglaterra y España, haciendo especial hincapié en el festival de Glastonbury (Somerset, Inglaterra) y el festival Mad Cool (Madrid, España). Más adelante, se explicarán las características más relevantes de estos eventos y se llevará a cabo un análisis DAFO de los festivales de música con ejemplos de los dos festivales en los que se ha centrado en el trabajo.

So, festival tourism is already well-known in many countries, although obviously not in the same scale and therefore the effects are also different. This typology of tourism normally creates a debate about its advantages and disadvantages. In this bachelor thesis, the history and evolution of music festivals in England and Spain will be compared, emphasizing in the Glastonbury Festival (Somerset, England) and Mad Cool festival (Madrid, Spain). Later on, the main characteristics of these events will be explained and a DAFO analysis of music festivals will be done with examples of the two main events focused on this thesis
