[eng] The COVID-19 pandemic has had incalculable consequences in many different aspects. Mental health has been one of the most silenced, probably for the difficulty of detecting it and obtaining real data. This study aims to show how the pandemic situation affected the mental health status of young hospitality workers in the hospitality sector with an emphasis on those who have experienced an episode of unemployment. This study also shows the vulnerability of young people to their trash contracts and possible labor contract policies for young people that would have lowered the level of impact in his mental health. Additionally, it will also report possible habits that would have helped to keep them more stable psychologically and that may be useful for the future. Finally, this study compares if there is differences between the residents of Germany, Italy and Spain, tree European countries very affected by the pandemic. The main result of the study show that young tourism workers were indeed affected by the pandemic situation. On the other hand, it also shows a strong correlation between unemployment and mental health.
