Impacto de la COVID-19 sobre el turismo de Menorca: reflejo en el Diario Menorca

Abstract

[spa] En este trabajo se pretende hacer un estudio del modo en que la prensa menorquina reflejó el fuerte impacto del COVID-19 en el sector del turismo en la isla de Menorca. Para ello, se propone una comparativa lo más minuciosa posible entre las noticias relacionadas con el turismo en el diario Menorca durante los dos años anteriores a la pandemia y, por otro lado, los dos años de la pandemia. La finalidad de este estudio es analizar las noticias seleccionadas para conocer el impacto, desde un punto de vista más divulgativo, que ha tenido el COVID-19 sobre algunos sectores del turismo en la isla.

[eng] This paper aims to study the way in which the Menorcan press reflected the strong impact of COVID-19 on the tourism sector on the island of Menorca. To do this, a comparison is proposed as detailed as possible between the news related to tourism in the Menorca newspaper during the two years prior to the pandemic and, on the other hand, the two years of the pandemic. The purpose of this study is to analyze the selected news to learn about the impact, from a more informative point of view, that COVID-19 has had on some tourism sectors on the island.
